IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE,WHO STILL QUESTIONS THE PATRIOTISM OF UGANDANS,
WHO STILL QUESTIONS THE SPIRIT OF NATIONALISM,THEN THE NAMBOOLE FOOTBALL CARNIVAL WAS YOUR ANSWER.
UGANDANS ARE THE BEST PATRIOTIC CITIZEN YOU WILL FIND,IT’S ONLY THEIR GOVT THAT HAS TAKEN AWAY THAT PRIDE,SO THEY WILL SHOW IT TO FOOTBALL,BUT CAN STILL SHOW IT ELSEWHERE IF ITS WORTH IT.
In the villages, young and old cuddled around their small radios to get it live in real time.,a thing they can’t do in the state of the nation speech!.
I personally saw a woman accidentally step another, but the victim just smiled even before the other could apologise as both continued to cheer the cranes.
Never have you ever seen a people so united, digging down their pockets to buy the cranes attire kit and sacrificing time to be there.
Elsewhere the Military man in uniform would not recover his gun, because the ill trained military man was too devastated to remember his gun.But the civilians kept reminding him, afande here is your gun.
Every Ugandan who attended was smart like a peacock,no Jersey read UGANDA CRANES…NO,they all read UGANDA…that was the spirit.
United for a common national cause, they come from different religions, families, tribe, political parties etc but all that was buried deep, they were a family, they were just Ugandans.
Over 20 million Ugandans were conscious, anxious about this event, they followed it live both Inside the stadium and outside it on Radio,Tv and social media. What a commitment!
Bus owners rescheduled their routine to transport fans to Namboole free of charge!.
So if you hear some off focus politicians preaching patriotism tell him to take his pills cause we got it but not ready to misallocate it
So if football is the only consolation for being a proud Uganda, then the Namboole crowd will double every other year.
GOOD IS GOOD YOU CAN’T CHANGE IT,YOU CAN’T TALK FOR IT,GOOD TALKS FOR ITSELF.
